How do I properly space gutter hangers?

How do I properly space gutter hangers?

Proper spacing of gutter hangers is important for ensuring that your gutter system is properly supported and functions correctly. The general rule of thumb is to space gutter hangers no more than 36 inches apart. However, if you live in an area with heavy rainfall or snowfall, you may want to space your hangers closer together to provide additional support.

Gutter hangers should be spaced a maximum of three feet apart, with two feet being recommended in cold climates where snow and ice can add extra weight. In warmer climates with less frequent rainfall, hangers can be spaced slightly farther apart, while in rainy or snowy regions, closer spacing is needed for added support. Start placing hangers four inches from the gutter ends, and then evenly space them throughout the length of the gutter.
